Thank you for shopping at Rite Aid!

This was not always the case. Once upon a time, not very long ago at all, Dawn and I would frequent a certain Rite Aid store as little as possible because of the ....mean.... employees. Sometimes cashiers would make up their own rules about which coupons they will take.

I feel like I've written this before way back when, but Dawn and I was shopping at this particular Rite Aid on Black Friday last year. I was buying 5 Planters mixed nuts as was Dawn, but she checked out first. She handed over her coupons and the transaction went well. I go to check out and the guy tells me the limit on the nuts is 4. So, fine, I buy the 4.
Then Dawn does another transaction with a different cashier. She bought 2 blow dryers and the woman told her she would only allowed to use 1 coupon for the blow dryers..... shortly after Dawn goes I check out with my own 2 blow dryers and the woman says nothing about me using 2 coupons for that product....what's going on?

Fastforward to May 2011
I try to do a return/rebuy and they help me out no problem....well, there was a problem, but that was with the products themselves. And then when we are checking out the cashier says, "Thank you for shopping at Rite Aid". That's NEVER happened.

Conclusion:
I think corporate finally talked to them and made them be "nice". It's kind of funny. The girl who told me to have a nice day - her voice was totally flat as she bade me goodbye. Which goes to say that customers do matter...though they're not always right - me, I'm usually right when it comes to coupons, but I know of others....
